Paralegal
EMAPPLY is currently seeking a seeking a motivated and organized Paralegal to join a growing Australian legal team. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team with various tasks, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files. Role: Paralegal
Location: Remote
Hours: 10am – 6pm SAST
Salary: R20000 – R24000 per month based on experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case-related information
- Organize and manage case files, documents, and exhibit materials
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing witness binders and trial exhibits
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Draft correspondence and maintain accurate and updated case records
- Assist with document production and discovery requests
- Perform administrative tasks, such as uploading, organizing, and filing
- Coordinate with outside vendors, experts, and witnesses
- Adhere to deadlines and manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or similar role
- Knowledge of legal procedures and court rules
- Familiarity with legal research tools and databases
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with electronic filing systems is a plus
- Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal Studies is preferred
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or similar role
