Order Taker

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Taker to manage customer inquiries and orders for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Pump Stations, Filters, and Cla-Valves. In this role, you will work directly with customers to understand their needs, gather relevant information, obtain pricing, create accurate proposals, and ensure timely follow-ups to close the sales process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their specific requirements for VFDs, Pump Stations, Filters, and Cla-Valves.
  • Obtain accurate pricing from vendors or internal sources for requested products and services.
  • Develop comprehensive, tailored proposals based on customer needs, ensuring all details and pricing are accurate and clear.
  • Send proposals to customers and provide prompt follow-ups as needed to ensure timely response and order closure.
  • Accurately record customer interactions, proposal details, and follow-up actions in the CRM system for easy tracking and reporting.
  • Work closely with the sales, technical, and support teams to ensure customer requirements are fully met and to facilitate smooth order processing.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, especially when creating proposals and documenting customer information.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, Pump Stations, Filters, and Cla-Valves is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience using CRM systems to track interactions, manage data, and generate reports.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, particularly in an order-taking or sales support capacity.
