Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company including service delivery, financial performance, compliance, employee management, asset management, partnerships, business development, and carrying out the board’s growth plan.
Reporting to: The Company Board.
Direct Reports: Client Service Managers, Client Relationship Officers.
Works with: Compliance, HR, and Intake.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full oversight of NDIS (Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme) Operations: Oversee and manage all aspects of our NDIS (Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme) operations ensuring high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
- Systems Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain policies, processes, and systems to ensure management control is maintained and professional services are delivered across the organisation.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Collaborate with relevant teams to drive business development initiatives.
- Staff Onboarding: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for senior staff, and oversee the onboarding and management of support workers, ensuring they are well-prepared to uphold the company’s service standards.
- Management: Lead and manage the support staff, promoting a positive work environment, and ensuring that all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with NDIS (Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme) guidelines and relevant regulations. Regularly review and update processes as needed in collaboration with the Compliance Officer.
- Inter-department Collaboration: Work closely with the Intake and compliance teams, accounts department, HR, and the Board to facilitate smooth operations. Address any concerns promptly and collaboratively.
- Relationships: Build key relationships with clients, families, staff, and all other stakeholders through open, clear, professional, and timely communication.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on performance, projects, and operations to the Board.
- Change management: Lead and facilitate change management processes, working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that ensure smooth transitions during organisational changes and improvements, while maintaining employee engagement and minimising potential disruptions.
- Financial Management: carefully monitor and manage the financial performance of the organisation.
- Stay updated and ensure compliance with NDIS (Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme) guidelines, polices, and regulations.
- Oversee the operations of our disability services, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Health Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in an operations management role within the NDIS or healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding or willing to learn NDIS (Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme) guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
