Our tool makes Infrastructure as Code easy, empowering every dev and test case to have its own environment while minimizing maintenance effort, costs, and risk.

The project is a fork of the legacy MPL-licensed Terraform, aiming to be community-driven, impartial, and genuinely Open Source. The project was launched with significant initial support, boasting over 18 full-time equivalents (FTEs) committed to the project from four companies. The manifesto has been endorsed by over 140 companies, involving 11 projects with the participation of over 700 individuals.

Requirements 

  • 3+ years of development experience with Go.
  • Product-driven and strong interest in DevOps topics
  • Experience contributing to OSS projects.
  • A desire to build for the community.
  • Experience with HCL & Terraform.
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working and communicating directly with clients.
  • Ability to solve tasks independently and make decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute code, bug fixes, and enhancements aligned with the OpenTofu goals.
  • Design, develop, and contribute to the OpenTofu and other relevant projects in the OpenTofu ecosystem.
  • Review community PRs and enable the continual development of the OpenTofu project.
  • Participate in the project planning, defining goals, and forming the project strategy.
  • Represent the OpenTofu project in the community, online, and at events (both in-person & online).
