OLAP Data Warehouse Engineer

We are looking for an OLAP Data Warehouse Engineer. The role will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our on-premises data warehouse solutions, with a focus on ClickHouse and Superset. You will work closely with our data science and engineering teams to enable real-time data analysis and reporting, utilizing streaming technologies such as Kafka. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable, high-performance data architectures that support critical business functions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable data warehouse solutions using ClickHouse.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Superset to meet business reporting needs.
• Integrate streaming data technologies, such as Kafka, to facilitate real-time data ingestion and analysis.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of data warehouse systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Optimise data models and queries for performance and scalability.
• Implement best practices for data security, backup, recovery, and archiving.
• Provide technical guidance and support for on-premises data warehouse operations.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing and analytics, and recommend improvements to our systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with ClickHouse and Superset.
• Strong background in streaming technologies, especially Kafka.
• Experience designing and running on-premises data warehouse solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
