Mental Health Counselor – Limited Permit

We are currently seeking fully remote mental health counselors to join our dynamic team in a supportive and collaborative private practice setting. This position is designed for early career therapists looking to gain invaluable experience in individual psychotherapy under the direction of a clinical supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Provide 22 – 26 weekly hours of individual psychotherapy therapy.
- Diligently complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Engage in group and individual supervision to foster clinical growth and professional development.
Requirements
- The ability to work fully from home: Must be able to work from home, assuring privacy, HIPAA compliance, and an appropriate background/ setting for video appointments.
- The ability to meet in person if necessary: While such an event is unlikely if a situation calls for the therapist to meet with an otherwise online client for a one-off in-person session at our downtown office, the therapist must be able and willing to do so.
- Completion of an accredited mental health counseling Master’s program.
- Must hold a limited permit to practice mental health counseling in New York State or permit eligible.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience and training in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, or interpersonal therapy.
- A strong desire for professional growth within the field of mental health counseling.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adhering to the procedures of group private practice that values support, collaboration, respect, and integrity.
- Excellent clinical ability, organizational skills, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
- Strong understanding of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
