The Medical Case Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between patients, attorneys, and medical providers following auto-related personal injury accidents. This role involves managing treatment funding requests, coordinating ongoing medical care, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with patients, attorneys, and medical providers via phone, email, and text.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to facilitate case coordination.
- Review case details to assess and approve treatment funding requests.
- Ensure appropriate medical care and funding support based on case underwriting.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Uphold confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) and ethical decision-making in all tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in medical case management, insurance, or legal support.
- Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to work in US time zones (PST, EST, CST).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
