About the role
As a pivotal figure in Welcome’s journey to becoming a preeminent international brand, the Market Manager plays a crucial role in expanding our network of hotel partnerships. This individual is chiefly tasked with forging new relationships and securing deals with hotels, integrating them into Welcome’s diverse and growing partnership funnel. Alongside these primary duties, the Market Manager will also maintain and enhance existing partner relations, ensuring the highest quality of service is consistently delivered. Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Development:
- Spearheads efforts to identify, negotiate, and secure new hotel partnerships, focusing on expanding Welcome’s presence and influence in the hospitality industry.
- Actively seeks out and establishes relationships with potential hotel partners, positioning Welcome as their preferred choice.
- Leads the orchestration and execution of strategic deals that align with Welcome’s growth objectives and market expansion plans.
Sales Cycle Management:
- Manages the full sales cycle, emphasizing the acquisition of new hotel partnerships from prospecting to closing.
- Maintains and updates the Sales Pipeline with a focus on incorporating new hotel deals.
- Executes sales forecasts and market analyses, prioritizing emerging opportunities in the hospitality sector.
Market Research and Growth:
- Conducts targeted market research to uncover opportunities for partnership expansions.
- Develops and implements strategies for lead generation, focusing on key decision-makers within the hotel industry.
- Represents Welcome at industry seminars, conferences, and events to foster new relationships and stay ahead of market trends.
Relationship Building and Account Management:
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with both new and existing hotel partners, ensuring their continued engagement with Welcome’s services.
- Engages in direct customer interaction to promote Welcome’s tool and service, ensuring superior service delivery and partner satisfaction.
Strategic Thinking and Planning:
- Envisions and sets strategic objectives for business development in the assigned territories.
- Collaborates with internal teams, including finance and operations, to align partnership strategies with Welcome’s overall business goals.
Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing:
- Continuously updates personal knowledge of the industry and shares insights with the team, enhancing the collective expertise.
- Advocates for and educates others about Welcome’s service, contributing to the company’s internal growth and operational improvement.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation in the hospitality/travel industry as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role. A network of contacts in the LATAM hospitality/industry will be considered a great plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Advanced interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with partners.
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business opportunities and meet or exceed targets.
- Passionate, committed, and results-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Self-motivated and hands-on with a true teamwork mentality.
- Digital native: fluent in web and digital technologies.
- Ability to analyze sales figures and write reports.
- Uncompromising attention to detail.
- Ace problem-solving skills.
- A friendly and upbeat personality.
