This is a senior role providing comprehensive editorial oversight of Fantasy Life written, audio and video content, using data analytics to optimize performance, and partnering with stakeholders across the editorial organization and business teams on a range of initiatives.

• Manage a staff of creators and editors with a year-round focus on fantasy football and sports betting.
• Assist with big-picture, conceptual vision for the vertical, including long-term direction, generating and planning story ideas, leveraging editorial platforms and more.
• Manage processes and priorities to balance content assignments across written, video, audio and social platforms
• Work to bring a distinctive, compelling, and authentic voice to all digital media products on all platforms
• Maintain an understanding and proficiency in traffic, newsletter, subscription and engagement metrics
• Maintain proficiency and knowledge of SEO (best practices available)
• Coordinate staffing assignments, editorial resources and process. Maintain an updated and accurate forward-looking editorial budget.
• Collaborate with staff on story ideas, and with design on best execution for content with a clear visual element
• Develop a cohesive cross-departmental relationship to ensure that content meets the needs of the business and aligns with creative, sales, and growth priorities.


• 10+ years of experience in digital sports journalism, including at least five at a management level.
• High-end knowledge of multiple formats of fantasy football and sports betting. Must be an experienced fantasy player with a history of league play.
• Advanced ability to generate story ideas that result in engagement. Collaborate with creators on strengthening ideas.
• Own strong understanding of the business and experience managing budgets and developing big-picture strategy in line with company priorities.
• Advanced understanding of the following editing tasks: copy editing, structure, recognizing problematic sentences, style guidelines.
• Expert ability to mentor writers and more inexperienced editors
