Who You’ll Work With

Reporting to the Senior Director, Community, we are looking for a Manager, Community (New Fellow Experience) to project manage the year-round implementation of programming for virtual and in-person gatherings to connect Fellows around the world.

What You’ll Do

As the Manager, Community (New Fellow Experience), you will lead key work streams that include: 

Equity-Centered Process Management

  • Manage New Fellow Experience and All Fellows Convening processes through a lens of culturally relevant, sustaining pedagogy (e.g. validating and affirming Fellows’ global diversity and individuality)
  • Build and manage accessible project plans that outline clear roles, milestones for deliverables, and status of process elements across diverse, cross-functional stakeholders
  • Manage the development of user-friendly, jargon-free manuals, training materials, and other documents to enable successful implementation of in-person and virtual new Fellow gatherings across internal and external stakeholders (e.g. New Fellow Experience slides, guides, and support materials, All Fellow Convening planning documents)
  • Draft and send external communications and deliverables that are reliably culturally responsive, jargon-free, clear, and free of typographical errors
  • Prepare and present ongoing process updates and end-of-project proposals for changes by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data from internal and external stakeholders (e.g.  staff, reviewers, Fellows, other gathering participants)
  • Design and facilitate efficient post-process debrief meetings that capture strengths and opportunities for growth in culturally relevant, sustaining design processes (e.g. validating and affirming Fellows’ global diversity and individuality) 

Inclusive People Management & Departmental Support

  • Supervise Assistant-level staff toward data-driven program implementation goals, leveraging equitable people management tools and approaches
  • Drive Assistant-level staff professional development and performance through ongoing, direct, positive and constructive feedback and coaching
  • Travel likely 3-5 times annually to represent Echoing Green (both national and international locations)

  • Human-Centered Approach: Commitment to collaboration, laughter, and candor for oneself and others in the workplace

Benefits

Salary: 84,000/year

Echoing Green offers a full benefits package designed to support employee wellness.  This includes up to 27 days off per year, a best-in-class health insurance which covers medical, dental, and vision needs, fully paid parental leave, a monthly well-being stipend of $100/month, a monthly wireless stipend of $100/month, professional development stipend of $1350 per fiscal year,  and a 403(b)-retirement savings plan with an employer match up to 7% of annual salary after first year.

The Manager, Community role is designed for remote work on a permanent basis. The role is available to candidates residing anywhere based in the United States, though travel will be expected to be for Engagements and team development etc.
