The role in a nutshell
As a Land Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Land Team in the delivery of the creation and management of Habitat Banks on a national basis. Reporting to one of our Senior Land Managers, the Land Administrator will be responsible for managing inbound enquiries to the Land Team, supporting Project Managers in the issuing of contracts and processing of purchase orders/invoices, monitoring the completion of site Health & Safety documentation (in conjunction with our Health & Safety provider) and other general secretarial support for the team. The role is based remotely and can be located anywhere within England. Depending on location, you would be able to join one of our regional teams with whom you would be able to co-work with colleagues in the region in shared working spaces.
More about the role
- Report directly to one of the Senior Land Managers and collaborate closely with colleagues in the Land Team and across the business.
- Manage inbound enquiries to the Land Team from Landowners and other stakeholders before passing them over to the relevant team member.
- Onboarding Contractors and setting them up as suppliers on our payments system.
- Working alongside Health & Safety leads, Land Managers and Project Managers to keep Health & Safety documentation up to date and recorded on our CRM system.
- Issuing of contracts and other documentation to contractors as prepared by Project Managers.
- Assist the Land Managers with the compilation of due diligence to assess site suitability for Habitat Bank creation, coordinating with internal teams including ecology, project delivery, legal, and finance.
- General secretarial support across the Team including for the Estates Director & Land Director.
Requirements
- Experience of working in the rural sector would be advantageous.
- Some understanding of utilising Land Registry and other publicly available legal and land management data sources.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Organised and self-starting, capable of managing personal schedule, maintaining records, and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Full UK clean driving license preferred and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience of CRM systems would be advantageous.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements relating to the scope of our work would be advantageous but not essential.
- Numerate and computer literate with an understanding of data analysis and manipulation.
