Salary: £22,000-£23,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Fully remote within the UK
Hours: 35 hours per week, including a 2pm finish on Fridays!

We are seeking a junior accounts assistant to join our finance team. Join us in kickstarting your career in finance and becoming an integral part of our internet marketplace team. The finance team comprises 17 people and is responsible for maintaining an efficient, organised, and accurate finance environment for the business.
You will work closely with the other members of the finance team assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to play a role in enhancing our financial processes to support the scalability of our growing business. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, control, and resolve customer queries involving chargebacks and disputes from the Payment Service Providers including liaising and working alongside Fruugo Customer Service and Risk Teams.
- Ensuring the Payment Service Providers debtor balances are fully investigated, understood, and specifically coded for analysis and management purposes.
- Support the month end Payment Service Provider reconciliation and revaluations as required.
- Bank account reconciliations.
- Supporting the Weekly Merchant Payment runs.
- Managing the team email inbox in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of accounting systems, payment systems, procedures, and controls.
- Perform other projects and duties as reasonably requested by the Team Leader, Finance Manager or Financial Controller.
Requirements
- Experience of working within a busy accounts environment.
- A passion for numbers, accuracy, and skills in calculating figures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (particularly VLOOKUP and pivot table experience).
- Knowledge of SAGE or similar accounting software.
- AAT commencement/part qualified would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of accounting terminology and of accountancy rules and legislation.
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to detect inconsistencies.

The position is fully remote, based in the UK, though the ability to travel to Cumbria or Manchester for team meetings would be an advantage.
