What you’ll do

As an IT Operations Specialist at Futurae, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our internal IT infrastructure. You will work closely with our Engineering and IT teams to maintain and optimize our systems and networks, as well as providing technical support to our employees. Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network and system issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Managing and maintaining our internal hardware and software infrastructure
• Implementing, maintaining, and optimizing security measures to protect our systems and data
• Providing technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects, upgrades, and enhancements
• Documenting and updating IT processes and procedures

Requirements

Desired skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a similar IT Operations or Systems Administration role
• Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex network and system issues
• Experience with Linux server administration
• Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and awareness of industry trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to visit our Headquarters in Zurich frequently

Bonus:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Certifications in relevant IT and networking areas (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
• Passionate about cybersecurity and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies
