Interim Head of Finance

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Interim Head of Finance role is a key leadership role to drive and support our Finance priorities for a six month period:

Strategy:

  • Design and implement financial models to support key business decisions
  • Support/drive the 10 year business planning process, providing essential analysis where required
  • Lead and deliver on transformation opportunities by identifying areas for technology adoption and streamlining

Financial Management:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and all aspects of business reporting for FMC and Niterra HQ
  • Manage all financial planning and reporting
  • Own the forecasting and budgeting process

Financial Reporting:

  • Preparation, communication and execution of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Support decision-making by providing the CEO, Niterra HQ and other key stakeholders (as required) with timely, detailed and accurate insights
  • Analyse, reconcile, and validate a range of data sets and information to support informed business decisions
  • Produce regular financial reporting to give an overview of business and financial performance, including trends, key actions, and strategic implications
  • Support the CEO with reports and presentations to Niterra HQ regarding financial issues and developments

Leadership:

  • Coach and direct the finance team and ensure ongoing FP&A knowledge sharing, development and training
  • Proactively contribute to plans and priorities for the department
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and FMC Senior Leadership Team and prepare communications/presentations for All-Company updates
  • Participate in key decisions and drive the importance of accurate financial planning

Legal & Compliance:

  • Immediately escalate any risks to the business to the CEO

Requirements

  • Professional accreditation (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) or MBA
  • 10 years experience in progressively responsible financial roles, with preference several years in financial planning
  • Organised and structured leader with experience of mentoring a department
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to strategise and devise solutions
  • High level of integrity, dependability, adaptibility and reliability
  • Proficiency in various software, such as MS Word, MS Excel and other financial management software. With advanced excel modelling skills essential
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization with reporting to both operational and functional leadership is essential
