Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Virtual Insurance Specialist to join our team. As an Insurance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to clients with their insurance needs, including policy inquiries, claims processing, and policy renewals. Your expertise in insurance products, strong communication skills, and customer-centric approach will ensure a positive experience for our clients and contribute to the success of our insurance operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, responding promptly to inquiries, providing information about insurance products and coverage options, and assisting with policy recommendations and selections.
  2. Review insurance applications, forms, and documents submitted by clients, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  3. Process new insurance policies, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals, entering data into insurance management systems and coordinating with insurance carriers and underwriters as needed.
  4. Assist clients with claims processing, including filing claims, providing documentation, and following up on claim status and resolution, ensuring timely and accurate claims handling.
  5. Educate clients about insurance policy terms, conditions, and exclusions, clarifying coverage details, limitations, and obligations to help them make informed decisions.
  6. Conduct insurance policy reviews and assessments for clients, identifying gaps in coverage, recommending adjustments or additional coverage options, and providing risk management advice.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, policy information, and documentation in insurance management systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations.
  8. Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations, industry trends, and product offerings, and communicate updates and changes to clients as necessary.
  9. Collaborate with insurance agents, brokers, and internal teams to support sales efforts, resolve client issues, and ensure a seamless and positive client experience.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness in all interactions.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in insurance roles, with a strong understanding of insurance products, policies, and procedures.
  2. Knowledge of insurance regulations, underwriting guidelines, and industry best practices, with the ability to interpret policy terms and conditions.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review and analyze insurance documents, applications, and claims data.
  5. Proficiency in insurance management systems or CRM software for data entry, record keeping, and client management.
  6. Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support to clients.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  8. High-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace conducive to remote work and virtual collaboration.
  9. Availability to work during US business hours, with flexibility to accommodate occasional meetings, client calls, or deadlines outside of standard hours.
