Head of Sales Dairy & Infant Nutrition Ingredients | Austria | Prolactal
Prolactal is an Austrian-based company and the leading manufacturer of milk and whey-based proteins. From our location in Hartberg, we are active in 35 Countries with 155 Employees.
The Head of Sales will lead the a team of 5 Sales Managers and support international B2B customers and/or distributors and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. In this role you are responsible for achieving the defined sales and earnings targets as well as the continuous expansion of the markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop/evolve a business plan & execute sales activities in line with the plan
- Achieve budgeted sales & profitability objectives
- Maintain, build and deepen relationships with existing customer base, delivering on current contract requirements, as well as increasing share of wallet
- Explore new market/customer opportunities
- Understand customer supply chain with specific relevance to dairy ingredients and collaborate with customer base on technical solutions to drive their business
- Customer/Project Management /Key Account Planning
Requirements
- Completed studies in business administration or comparable educational background, preferably in food technology with a commercial focus
- Several years of professional experience and proven success in B2B sales preferably of dairy-based ingredients in the international infant nutrition or food sector
- Technical knowledge of infant formula and/or dairy ingredients / processing composition, manufacture and supply
- Proven track record of commercial sales growth, as a Country, Sales, or Key Account Manager
- Project Management Know-How
- Ability to work independently, especially if working remotely away from our Austrian plant
- Fluent English, further foreign language skills is a plus e.g., French

Benefits
The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective agreement of co-operative dairies (Kollektivvertrag der genossenschaftlichen Molkereien), overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
