Head of Marketing

We are growing fast, and we are now looking for a Head of Marketing to build Wati as the default brand for SMBs to simplify business messaging.
In this role, you will be working directly with the founders on shaping the overall growth strategy in the fast growing messaging CRM space. You will lead a talented team of marketers and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute data-driven growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an exceptional leader, and has a proven track record of successfully scaling businesses through innovative marketing strategies.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Marketing Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Define target customer segments and develop effective positioning and messaging strategies.
Lead Generation and Customer Acquisition:
- Drive product-led journey lead generation initiatives to expand the customer base.
- Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, content marketing, email marketing, events, and partnerships.
- Optimize marketing campaigns to maximize conversion rates and return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure marketing efforts align with sales objectives and support the sales funnel in a coordinated and effective manner.
Brand Development and Management:
- Develop and maintain a strong, differentiated brand identity that resonates with the target audience.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
- Develop and manage brand guidelines to maintain brand consistency across the organization.
Product Marketing:
- Collaborate with Product Management to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
- Create compelling product messaging and positioning that highlights the unique value proposition of our SaaS offerings.
- Develop marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, and product-related content to support the sales process.
- Manage the end-to-end customer journey and the marketing content, from initial contact for subscription renewal.
Content Marketing and Thought Leadership:
- Develop and execute a content marketing strategy to establish the company as a thought leader in the industry.
- Create and oversee the production of high-quality content, including blog articles, whitepapers, case studies, videos, and webinars.
- Leverage content marketing to drive brand awareness, engage prospects and customers, and support lead generation efforts.
Marketing Analytics and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of marketing initiatives.
- Utilize marketing analytics and data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and tactics.
- Provide regular reports to the executive team on marketing performance, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Team leadership & development:
- Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
- Set performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and accountability within the operations team.

Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in marketing with a proven track record of senior marketing leadership driving results in the computer software industry, ideally in Product-led B2B SaaS
- Deep understanding of the SMB SaaS industry, including knowledge of SaaS business models, target markets, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies that have a measurable impact on user acquisition, engagement, and retention for a young brand
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels including paid search, social media, email marketing, lifecycle marketing, and SEO.
- Comfortable with data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a focus on building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Self-driven, comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment.
- Be a great problem solver, with a flexible, can-do attitude, happy to put your hand to anything
