We currently have a great opportunity for a Gaming Moderator (German) to provide core services on one of our biggest gaming brands!

As a Gaming Moderator you will review user generated content and follow community guidelines to ensure everything is appropriate, non-offensive, and in compliance with our client’s guidelines.

You will be key in building a secure and safe gaming environment for users and making sure our client’s brand reputation is kept safe at all times.

What You’ll Do

As a core part of the opportunity, you will be reviewing strong graphic images, sound files and written content that may violate the guidelines of the community.

  • Follow Guidelines: moderating in accordance with The Social Element guidelines and client-specific guidelines.
  • Escalation of Sensitive Content that falls within the official guidelines e.g. child safety, bomb threats, etc.
  • Carrying out moderation and training according to the times scheduled in the project schedule.
  • Complete Shift Reports by using templates provided according to individual projects requirements.
  • Supporting moderators who need assistance as well as mentoring and providing guidance to new moderators
  • Informing Project Managers of any technical or other issues with sites or content and providing feedback on any client issues.

Working Hours

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends (morning and evenings) to cover all project hours which are approx. 15 to 20 hours per week. . At times, the times may change and the amount of hours you will be required to work may increase or decrease depending on the needs of the projects.

For this work, you must be available on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as a minimum and ideally, available late evening, 7pm (UK Time) onwards.

Requirements

Excellent Dutch and English level as you’ll be moderating content in both languages, it’s a must to have outstanding reading skills.

‍ ‍ Background experience: either in moderation, community management or a very experienced gamer enthusiast who is well versed in the world of gaming, forums and platforms. We also consider valuable to anyone who has voluntary experience in moderating gaming forums, chat rooms, etc.

Passionate Gamer: No matter if you are a console or PC gamer, you breathe and enjoy gaming

Social Media knowledge: great understanding and knowledgeable in navigating different social platform (Tik Tok, Twitch, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, etc) to keep up to date with the latest gaming trends, events, followers, etc.

Digital native: comfortable and fluent in using a variety of technologies, apps, online and cloud platforms.

A self-disciplined who knows how to manage their own time e.g priorities, tasks, shifts, attend training, etc. while working remotely

IT Policy

We operate a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Policy which means to carry out this work, your PC will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Operating system Windows 10 64bits or higher / MAC OS X version 13 (Ventura) or higher.
  • i5 8th generation or faster 64-bit (x64) processor
  • At least 8GB RAM (16GB recommended)
  • Internet speed is 20Mbps download / 1Mbps upload (50Mbps download / 5Mbps upload is recommended)
  • 40 GB available HDD (SSD recommended)
  • A Webcam and headset
  • Android or iOS device for 2FA
  • Chromebook, Linux and Cloud VMs are not supported. If you wanna run a local VM (virtual machine), you need to send us your computer specs and explain how you intend to do this.

Please Note: It is essential to have all IT requirements to qualify for the process and IT policy.
