About the Role
As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the ongoing financial responsibilities in the company. This position is substantially remote but will likely involve periodic meetings at the current office in NY or at business locations throughout the tri-state area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation.
- Produce cash flow analysis, budgets, and projections on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Files sales tax, business license, and annual reporting as required.
- Ensure data integrity and processes across our internal systems.
- Management of internal and external accounting audits.
- Act as the company’s technical expert in accounting matters.
- Continuously improves and re-evaluates accounting and reporting SOP’s to streamline and improve controls and processes.
- Ensure compliance with state, local and federal government requirements.
- Work closely with HR on employment policies and practices and development of the employee benefit programs.
- Oversee all staff responsible for administrative work for all of the affiliated companies.
- Establish and oversee methods, systems and practices for monitoring assets such as vehicles, equipment, leases, insurance policies and large purchases.
- Interface with customers and vendors regarding payments and account status.
- Interface with banks to maintain good records and smooth flow of funds and operations.
- Be a company leader who helps drive the team towards success and continued improvement by challenging the status quo, while respecting others and supporting them to do their best.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Finance Manager, Controller or similar roles, including experience managing finance and administrative employees.
- Experience with Quickbooks Online
- Familiarity with or ability to master softwares such as: Azuga, Leasecake, Paylocity, Voya.
- Highly proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office products, especially in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- In-depth knowledge of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping. • Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
- College Degree or greater.
- Experience with Macbook is a plus.
