FBS SR Agile Product Manager (Data)

Capgemini is seeking an Agile Product Manager for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

Job summary

The Agile Product Manager maximizes the delivery of value to customers in the shortest sustainable lead time. Identifies business and customer needs, prioritizing program level work and guiding this work through the process Program Kanban.

Independently develops the vision and roadmap for the value stream in which they support and provides direction and support for other value streams while accomplishing a higher volume of work. Continuously defines, prioritizes, and validates requirements. Leads and collaborates cross-functionally while leveraging industry, customer, and competitive research, along with data analytics to deliver customer value and to achieve strategic goals and objectives. Provides strategic oversight and leadership to direct reports and is relied upon for strategic leadership within their business unit and across the enterprise.

Key Activities

  1. Vision and Roadmap Development:
    • Develops and maintains the program vision that aligns with business and enterprise objectives.
    • Independently responsible for the program roadmap, illustrating how complex features are intended to be implemented over time.
  2. Customer and Market Interaction:
    • Acts as the internal voice of the customer for the Agile Release Train (ART).
    • Engages in continuous exploration through customer interaction, user interviews, surveys, and market research to inform strategy, vision, and feature selection.
  3. Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Leads and collaborates cross-functionally with various teams, including development, to ensure the delivery of customer value.
    • Provides strategic oversight and leadership to direct reports, including Product Owners and Analysts.
    • Builds and develops an effective Product Management/Product Owner team.
  4. Program Management:
    • Manages the flow of complex work through the program Kanban, ensuring efficient handling of large ART sizes and multiple stakeholders.
    • Defines and maintains Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) and other enabler work in collaboration with the System Architect.
  5. Decision Making and Release Management:
    • Maintains accountability for content decisions for the ARTs, continuously defining, prioritizing, and validating features.
    • Owns the decision of when enough value has been accrued to warrant a release to the customer.
    • Participates in biweekly System Demos and the Inspect and Adapt workshops to assess metrics and business value achieved.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years as similar role with at least 5 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in the Insurance space – Highly valued
  • English Proficiency required
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters Preferred.
  • Managing data infrastructure, marts, models, reports, and analytics platforms. (Priority)
  • Experience in data governance, security, and accessibility.
