Events Marketing Specialist (Contractor)

Anvilogic is looking for an Events Marketing Specialist (Contractor) passionate about re-defining events to create demand and build Anvilogic’s brand by positively contributing to the cybersecurity community through value-led attendee experiences. This position will be primarily responsible for execution on-site at third-party events (BlackHat, GrrCon), field marketing events (be they virtual, hybrid, or in person) – with the opportunity to expand the scope to additional events as they come up. 

This position is for a 4-6 month contract. The role is 100% remote, but will require traveling and supporting up to five in-person events across the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of events, internal project management, managing budget, timelines, vendors, and virtual and on-site coordination ensuring brand consistency across all events
  • Develop and execute events including trade shows, conferences (Black Hat, GrrCon), virtual activations (webinars, happy hours, etc.), C-Level Roundtables, and roadshows
  • Plan and facilitate logistics for all events including contract negotiations, venue selection and preparation, and presentation materials
  • Manage deliverables + timeline by partnering with cross-functional teams for event support such as social media promotion, paid media promotion, sales enablement, invite copy
  • Execute all virtual event logistics: create zoom events, calendar invites, registration emails, day-of zoom coordination with speakers, etc. 
  • Plan and execute gifting campaigns, happy hours, and ABM campaigns
  • Partner with cross-functional marketing teams to identify speakers, content, partner opportunities, and branding to deliver impactful experiences that engage our audience
  • Establish fresh ways to approach events and experiences, ensure brand consistency, engagement and results

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an event or field marketing role (bonus for experience in cybersecurity) 
  • Must be able to travel to up to 5 in-person events
  • High attention to detail, follow through and strong drive for results
  • Deep understanding of event execution and a master at developing, executing, and measuring innovative and results-focused events that create and capture demand
  • Hands-on experience managing both digital and in-person events with proven examples leading external production teams
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Experience working with a demand generation and sales team
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent budget and project management prowess
  • Bachelor’s Degree and proven track record learning new skills and strong understanding/marketing aptitude 
  • Experience with HubSpot preferred
