End User Engineer
Job Title: Remote Endpoint Management Engineer
Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 per year
Our client is seeking a skilled Endpoint Management Engineer to join their remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the full lifecycle of end-user hardware, OS, and applications, as well as creating new solutions to enable users and advance business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and maintain a secure desktop infrastructure through patch management and compliance reporting
– Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and install and maintain hardware and computer peripherals
– Produce and maintain desktop standards, knowledge base, operating procedures, guidelines, and system documentation
– Develop and implement engineering standards and processes
– Serve as an escalation point of contact, focusing on restoring services
– Package, test, and deploy system and application updates/patches to the end-user environment
– Build automation into daily processes to improve ease of doing business
– Recommend and implement improvements to desktop architecture and design
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field with 2+ years of experience in desktop management, or 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering technical support
– Extensive experience with SCCM imaging and patching (3+ years)
– Proficient in InTune (2+ years) and Azure Autopilot (2+ years)
– Experience automating processes through scripting (e.g., PowerShell, batch)
– Experience providing Tier 3 support
– Positive and proactive attitude towards customer support and a desire to help people
– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop quick, sound solutions to complex problems while demonstrating a sense of urgency
– Exceptional written and oral communication skills
– Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to achieve business goals and objectives
