ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE

Avantia Law is looking for a Director of Sales, a pivotal position within Avantia’s sales team to drive revenue growth and win new business in the United States. While you will have every opportunity to make the role your own, your key priorities will be to:

  • Develop and win new business for Avantia’s suite of services, taking ownership of the full sales cycle into our tier 1, largest and most prestigious prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Take the lead in high-level sales discussions and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the CCO to define targets and market expansion plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to make informed sales decisions.
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure consistent and steady revenue generation. Implement strategies to accelerate the sales cycle and increase deal closure rates.

This role would suit a successful sales leader ready for a new challenge at a company that is as ambitious as you are and can support your aspirational goals. We would also be keen to hear from Lawyers who excel in the BD element of their role and are looking to transition into a full Sales position.

Requirements

  • You will have a combination of strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, excellent communication and a results-oriented mindset
  • Either 5+ years proven experience in a B2B sales environment, consistently out-performing targets and peers or an experienced Lawyer/ Attorney who enjoys BD and wishes to transition into a sales role
  • Deep industry knowledge and understanding of the financial services sector (Private Equity, Funds, Investment Banking)
  • Legal services background highly desirable
  • Experience working in a start-up/scale up or tech-enabled business a plus
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage yourself and be a trusted and integral part of a high performing team

Benefits

Location & Remuneration

This role is offered on a remote first basis with travel to client meetings as necessary. We are ideally looking for a candidate based on the East Coast.

We have benchmarked this role at $130,000 – $175,000 base salary and the final offer will depend on the successful candidate’s experience and location. The role will also have commission as additional remuneration.
