The Job in a Nutshell

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to lead and scale our Product engineering teams at Mrsool. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering Domain, setting the technical direction, and ensuring that our engineering eco systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives.

You will work closely with engineering managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional leaders to drive the development of high-quality software solutions that enhance our platform and deliver exceptional user experiences. Your role will also involve strategic planning, mentoring engineering leaders, and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence across the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of engineering managers and Senior/Staff engineers, setting the technical vision and strategy for the product engineering domain.
  • Oversee the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Partner with Product Management, Design, and other departments to define product roadmaps, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Mentor and guide engineering leaders, fostering professional growth and empowering them to build and scale high-performing teams.
  • Establish and refine engineering processes, standards, and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability across the organization.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving continuous innovation within the engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring that engineering efforts are aligned with company objectives.

Requirements

What Are We Looking For❓

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role, including managing high-output engineering teams or managers of the team.
  • Extensive experience in backend engineering, with a deep understanding of scalable systems architecture, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering organizations, with a focus on technical excellence and innovation.
  • Strong ability to align technology initiatives with business goals, driving impactful solutions that support the company’s growth.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Helped in fostering diversity, inclusion, and a culture of belonging within the engineering organization.
