Demand Supply Planner
Our client is a leading distributor of lifestyle, gifting, and homewares products in Australia. With a strong focus on innovation, growth, and exceptional service, they work with global suppliers and local partners to deliver products that enhance everyday living.
They are seeking an experienced Demand & Supply Planner to join the Supply Chain team. This role is critical in ensuring product availability, inventory health, and operational efficiency while supporting commercial priorities and seasonal events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, promotions, and product launches.
- Translate forecasts into supply plans that align with inventory targets and service levels.
- Liaise with purchasing coordinators, suppliers, freight partners, and warehouses to ensure timely product availability.
- Monitor inbound freight, supplier lead times, and stock levels to minimise stockouts and overstocking.
- Support merchandise planning activities, including seasonal buys, range reviews, and lifecycle tracking.
- Analyse supply chain data and report on KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns.
- Drive process improvements across demand, supply, and merchandise planning functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or merchandise planning.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong ERP and forecasting tool experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with international purchasing processes and freight coordination.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
