Data Engineer for International IT Projects
We currently have a vacancy for a Data Engineer to work as an expert at the premises of the company in Athens and/or remotely.
Main responsibilities and Tasks:
- Participate in the design and implementation of databases, ETLs, BI reports, along with web development teams;
- Migration of database/ETL changes across environments;
- Develop/maintain data models;
- Monitor server performance of application databases;
- Maintain access rights;
- Write technical documentation;
- Install and configure the respective tools.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
- Strong knowledge of database theory and experience in data modelling;
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and “NoSQL” databases (time series databases, Cassandra, MongoDB);
- Experience with some of the database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase);
- Competence in Python or Java, PL/SQL or T-SQL;
- Experience with Linux, Solaris, Windows operating systems;
- Excellent command of English;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines.
