alcemy was founded to reduce the massive CO2 footprint of the cement and concrete industry. Concrete is humanity’s second most used material by volume and its production is responsible for around 8% of global CO2 emissions.
We are changing this! We leverage machine learning to provide smart production control software to the cement and concrete supply chain to improve efficiency and allow for the production of low-carbon cement and concrete at large scale. Our software is used 24/7 in cement and concrete plants to optimize production and reduce carbon emissions today. We are currently enabling our customers to save more than 100 000 tons of CO2 emissions each year and we aim to save 100 million tons per year in 2030.
The Opportunity
As Customer Success Manager Profile Application Engineer / Quality Manager Cement at alcemy, you will
- drive projects along the customer journey from implementation project to ongoing support
- educate and support our users in working with our product to enable trust in our machine learning algorithms and increase engagement
- support the alcemy team with your cement knowledge to understand our customers production setup and challenges even better
- bridge the gap between the machine learning and cement/concrete world for our customers
- analyze and identify specific feature requests and requirements in dialog with our customers and translate them into specific tasks for our development team
- help drive the product forward with ideas from your experience & work with the customers to make sure that we can support their challenges, especially to decarbonize
- accompany pre-sales projects when necessary
- help us to establish convincing business cases and upsell our accounts
- improve and automate our customer success processes, so we can scale
- regularly go on business trips to stay close to our customers
- be part of a fun team where you can have a massive impact on the business
As a Customer Success Manager at alcemy you have the chance to introduce a new AI-powered product into an industry you know well, that is characterized by long-lasting relationships.
Within 1 month, you will…
- Complete our onboarding and meet every team member
- Learn a lot about how our customers think. In addition, you will learn the intricacies of cement & concrete data
- Get a deep dive in the product and understand all the nitty gritty details about producing cement and concrete to a good quality
- Meet our customers and accompany customer conversations
- Support in the first pre-sales or implementation project
- Support all team members with your industry expertise over the whole customer lifecycle
Within 3 months, you will…
- Own your first implementation project supported by a colleague
- Take over existing accounts and support them in their daily operations
- Accompany a first feature from customer feedback to specification to launch
Within 6 months, you will…
- Have responsibility for managing your own accounts that you’ve built up from implementation to daily operations independently
- Act as our customers’ advocate towards our development and product teams and contribute to the development of new features frequently
- Able to evaluate the success of your accounts and support them on the way to realizing ROI
- Act as alcemy’s ambassador towards our customers by communicating our product vision and mission
- Become an expert for quality control processes in the concrete industry and speak the language of the industry fluently
Requirements
Your Profile
- You have a solid background in the cement industry e.g. Application Engineering, Quality Manager or similar
- >2 years working experience in the cement industry
- You are characterized by a high level of social competence and excellent communication skills
- You can prioritize, manage and communicate to multiple projects at the same time
- You can understand complex customer needs that can combine a broad range of areas, e.g., production engineering, statistics, chemical engineering or user experience
- You like to collaborate closely with customers and build long-lasting relationships
- You want to be the customer voice in new product developments and can work in a cross functional team
- Either Portuguese, Turkish, French, Spanish or Arabic have to be excellent (mother tongue or alike)
- English conversational
- It is necessary that you are located in Germany. Alternatively, you should be willing to relocate to Germany, and we will support you with the relocation. If you are already in Germany and need visa support, we can also help with that

Hiring Process
Our hiring process is fully remote and we’ll communicate with you over email and video chat.
- Initial 1:1 screening call (30 minutes) with one of our team members
- Complete a take-home task relevant to the actual work you’d be doing
- A technical interview (60 minutes) with 2 of our engineers
- A team fit interview (45 minutes) with 2 of your future team members
- Reference check – we contact two references you provide (e.g. former work colleagues)
