Creative Strategist

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Creative Director with a background in paid media to lead our creative strategy efforts. This role is critical in driving the success of our clients’ advertising campaigns by developing innovative and effective creative solutions that resonate with target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Strategy Leadership:
    • Develop and lead the overall creative strategy for our clients’ paid media campaigns.
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business goals, target audiences, and campaign objectives.
    • Translate client briefs and campaign objectives into creative concepts that align with paid media strategies.
  • Paid Media Creative Testing:
    • Have a deep understanding of how creative testing functions within paid media campaigns.
    • Work closely with the paid media team to identify opportunities for creative optimization and A/B testing.
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to refine creative assets and maximize ROI.
    • Embrace a continuous testing mindset where creative insights drive performance.
    • Write project and creative ad briefs 
    • Build and manage people and resources around the needs of your campaigns
    • Craft compelling narratives that resonate with the target audience.
    • Analyze ad performance day in and day out (you MUST feel comfortable navigating inside of ad accounts) 
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other account leads and teams to ensure seamless integration of creative strategies with overall campaign objectives.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to creative teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Client Communication:
    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding creative strategy and execution.
    • Present creative concepts and campaign updates to clients, addressing their feedback and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends:
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in paid media and creative advertising.
    • Use this knowledge to drive innovation and ensure our campaigns remain cutting-edge.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in DTC growth marketing—recent experience is crucial.
  • Expertise in driving creative strategy and media buying
  • Directly managed millions of dollars on platforms like Facebook/Meta, TikTok, etc.
  • Led high-performing creative teams with a focus on innovation and performance.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
  • A true “owner” mindset with no exceptions.
  • Experience with Figma is required
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Animate is preferred
  • Experience creating performance-driven ads for Facebook, TikTok, Youtube
  • Experience shooting UGC videos yourself for paid platforms – preferred
  • Can-do attitude is a must; this is a start-up that requires you to wear many hats and deal with a certain level of day-to-day uncertainty
  • Experience driving projects forward in design including websites, paid media, apps, and email is strongly encouraged

  • Portfolio of ads personally created & launched for brands or ads that were created by a design team, but strategy was provided and scope for them. Please attach the reasoning behind the recommendations & over all learnings + takeaways from the creative approach.
  • Submit a 5-10 minute Loom recording of your best-performing creative strategy (focused on driving sales, not just leads). Walk us through this physical example live using the exact material from Facebook Ads Library and/or a word outline with as much detail as possible if you don’t have access to a public URL of the example. Share insights into your strategy, management, execution, results, and key learnings.
