WeatherXM.com founded in 2022 (WeatherXM AG, Zug) by a core team that has been working together since 2015 having previously founded exm.gr an IIoT environmental monitoring, and weather analytics company that has served major enterprise customers.

Current investors include Placeholder, Consensys, Protocol Labs, Metaplanet, Borderless Capital, SOSV HAX/DLAB,  notable visionary angel investors like Juan Benet (Filecoin), Ele Diakomichalis (Radicle). 

WeatherXM is a weather DePIN project that utilizes a dense network of community-deployed weather stations, to provide the most accurate weather services possible.

People join the network by setting up WeatherXM stations and earn WXM tokens for the data they collect. Companies who want to use the weather data to create services, will need to buy licenses with WXM tokens.

By using cost efficient hardware and delegating capex, installation and maintenance to station owners we are building a dense weather network capable of providing hyper-local, real-time weather measurements. This is not possible through the centralized planning, procurement and maintenance model national weather organizations have to follow.

The WeatherXM network already counts more than 5k weather stations deployed in 80+ countries generating real time weather data and more accurate hyperlocal forecasts that weather dependent businesses need.

About the Job:

Responsibilities:

• Develop a versatile content strategy that serves our three main audiences: weather station buyers, weather data consumers, and Web3 users.
• Produce insightful and persuasive content that clarifies the benefits of joining our network of weather stations.
• Create engaging material that showcases the advantages of purchasing and utilizing weather data from WeatherXM.
• Generate informative and appealing content focused on the intersection of blockchain technology and meteorology, emphasizing the innovation and value of Web3 in our field.
• Implement SEO best practices to enhance visibility and attract a targeted audience to our platforms.
• Collaborate with different teams to produce case studies and reports that demonstrate real-world applications and successes of our marketplace.
• Act as the brand voice, ensuring all content is coherent, engaging, and aligned with our mission and values.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• Proven track record in content marketing, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in writing and copywriting.
• Strong understanding of SEO, content optimization, and digital marketing strategies.
• Web3, blockchain technology, and their applications in real-world scenarios.
• Experience in creating content for a technical audience, preferably in IoT, meteorology, blockchain, or related fields.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to translate complex technical details into accessible content.
• Experience in visual design, wordpress knowledge, website content management and newsletters

• Exceptional copywriting, editing, and communication skills.
• Creative thinker with a knack for identifying and telling compelling stories.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt content strategies as the market evolves.

Bonus points if you have:

• Background in meteorology or a related scientific field is a plus.
• Experience in storytelling across various digital platforms, including social media, blogs, and email campaigns.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and content management systems.
