Role: Compositing Artist [all levels]

Contract: Freelance

Working Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm CET

Location: Remote

Reporting to: Lead Compositor

Role Description

We are seeking Compositing Artists to join our talented creative teams and work on exciting projects on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and creative knowledge of compositing in Nuke. Artists who are natural problem solvers and who are proactive and enjoy team collaboration will make exceptional candidates for this position.

Key responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Provide compositing on challenging and exciting advertising projects.
Work on full CG commercials, integrating 2D, 3D and live-action elements.
Manage multiple layers, passes and quick updates.
Communicate with CG artists and request changes when needed.
Balance the creative and technical aspects of each shot.
Keep consistency between different comps when needed.
Manage your time effectively working with supervisors, leads and the production team to meet the project deadlines.

Requirements

Experience working in compositing, particularly for commercials, although films, games and television are also suitable.
Excellent working knowledge of and experience with Nuke.
A strong eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting.
A commitment to work as a team collaborator across our projects.
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Can work under pressure and take direction under tight production schedules.
Ability to catch and identify and report technical issues as early as possible.
Ability to work autonomously and stay self-motivated.
Python, TCL and Blinkscript knowledge is a plus.
Set up to work fully remotely via VPN.
