Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Remote

WP Umbrella is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to develop, execute and monitor comprehensive marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. We are a small bootstrapped startup and we are looking for a doer with an entrepreneur fiber willing to grow with our company. This job require a lot of analytical skills, but also a great ability to deliver. You will report directly to our CEO and work in collaboration with our product team. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to build the marketing team at WP Umbrella by hiring the first few members as the company grows.

Your Mission

  • Define and implement a multichannel inbound acquisition/conversion strategy (SEO, SEA, Social Media content strategy (white papers, webinars, blogs, newsletters, etc.)
  • Optimize and nurture our marketing automation strategy.
  • Define, implement and monitor new marketing and growth strategies that directly contribute to revenue growth, leveraging no-code tools and automation. This includes, optimizing pricing strategies, and driving sales through effective lead conversion processes.
  • Implement reporting on marketing activities to track progress and make data-driven decisions to grow further.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: At least 3-5 years in B2B SaaS marketing.
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to seamlessly transition between high-level strategic thinking and detailed, hands-on execution. We need a thinker, but also a doer.
  • Marketing Funnel Mastery: Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing SaaS marketing funnels, with a solid track record of improving conversion rates and customer acquisition.
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Proven experience in developing and implementing effective lead magnets and comprehensive growth strategies to attract and retain clients.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with extensive experience in utilizing tools like Google Analytics, Semrush, and other marketing analytics platforms to drive decision-making and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Impactful Contribution: A strong desire to have a tangible impact on company growth, with the motivation to take initiative and thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with excellent communication abilities to articulate marketing strategies and results effectively.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with WordPress and the web agencies ecosystem is a plus, enhancing your ability to tailor strategies that resonate with our core customer segments.
