About the Position:  

The Business Development Lead will join the Agency Development team as an individual contributor to drive outbound prospecting to identify new business opportunities. The successful candidate will drive agency growth by securing new clients within [territory}. The ideal candidate prefers a mix of digital and in-person selling with the ability to craft unique outreach programs. This role reports to our CEO. The base salary range for this position is $80k-$90k with a substantial bonus structure.

Your Impact:   

  • Outbound Prospecting & Initial Outreach: You’ll spearhead outbound prospecting activities and initiate contact through phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage potential clients. 
  • Needs Assessment: You’ll identify the needs and challenges of prospective customers to assess how our solutions can address their specific requirements. 
  • Prospect Qualification & Discovery: You’ll determine the interest and compatibility of prospects with Level’s services, scheduling discovery meetings and facilitating seamless handoffs to the sales team when appropriate. 
  • Strategy Development: You’ll work closely with the marketing team to refine go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment and maximizing impact. 
  • Sales Generation: You’ll conduct in-depth research on target accounts, penetrating them to generate sales opportunities and expand the client base from within. 
  • Event Participation: You’ll assist in marketing efforts by participating in trade shows, exhibits, and other promotional events to increase brand visibility and lead generation. 
  • Networking: You’ll be encouraged to identify and attend appropriate events and networking opportunities within your territory.  
  • Performance Tracking: You’ll closely monitor and forecast key account metrics, setting and striving to meet sales targets and other critical objectives. 
  • Opportunity Maximization & Network Leveraging: You’ll utilize your experience and professional network to uncover new sales opportunities within existing accounts, and maximize Levels’ presence within partner accounts where applicable. 
  • Client Relationship Building: You’ll foster a trusted advisor relationship with key client stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and positioning yourself as an indispensable resource. 
  • Industry Knowledge: You’ll maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. 


  • Minimum 4+ years successful B2B sales experience (preference for candidates with significant industry experience in EDU, financial services, high wealth services, and/or healthcare but not a requirement) 
  • Previous marketing experience and/or selling marketing services is preferred, but not mandatory. 
  • Hands-on expertise with outbound sequencing tools such as Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, Hubspot, Yesware, etc  
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on external sales and growth, showcasing strong capabilities in expanding business territories and increasing revenue 
  • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, demonstrating exceptional goal-setting and achievement capabilities 
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging and influencing C-suite executives 
  • Proven experience in actively identifying and securing new clients, with a demonstrated proactive approach 
  • Ability to understand client’s needs and designing an outreach approach that focuses on the value of Level’s solutions 
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for conferences, trade shows, and client meetings. Including independently identifying and attending local and regional networking events.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic work environment  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and refine strategies 
  • Exposure and familiarity working with generative AI technologies, with a willingness to learn and apply these concepts in real-world scenarios
