Our client is a leading HVAC heating and cooling specialist serving residential and commercial clients in the Orillia Ontario area. They are dedicated to providing top-notch HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance services. They are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented remote Bookkeeper to join their team and assist with bookkeeping and other admin tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Data Entry: Accurately record all financial transactions into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Accounts Receivable and Payable: Manage invoices, track payments from clients, and process bills to suppliers.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Ensure that bank statements match the company’s financial records.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, aiding in budget management.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle employee payroll if applicable, including wage calculations, deductions, and issuing paychecks.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets) for management review.
  • Tax Preparation: Ensure that financial records are in order for tax purposes and collaborate with the company’s tax advisor to prepare and file taxes.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insights into the company’s financial health and suggest strategies for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the HVAC or similar industry (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Commitment to data security and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Benefits

  • Client Relationship: You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
  • Payment: All payments for your services will be handled directly by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
  • Vacation Leaves and Holidays: While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.

Salary: $800 – $1000 USD/month

Technical Requirements

  • Dedicated workstation at home
  • 30 MBPS minimum Internet connection
  • Backup device and Internet in times of power outages
