Bioinformatics consultant: regulatory RNA sequence design & structural analysis
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled scientist specialising in regulatory RNA design. The ideal candidate will have a strong bioinformatics background, deep understanding of RNA structure-function relationships and experience using computational tools for RNA engineering. Wet lab expertise is preferable.

Key roles:
- Bioinformatics analyses (e.g. GWAS and transcriptomic datasets)
- Integration of computational approaches for analysing, designing and optimising RNA structures/binding kinetics.
- Assisting with experimental design
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, RNA Biology).
- Proven expertise in RNA structure analysis and design.
- Experience using relevant computational programs e.g. NUPACK, RNAfold, R-CHIE.
- Strong bioinformatics background with proficiency in common programming languages (e.g. Python, R).
- Demonstrated experience validating RNA function in the wet lab, or assisting in experimental design. NB: experience screening RNA libraries would be beneficial.
- In-depth knowledge of endogenous and synthetic RNA biology.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
