Assistant Manager, Marketing – China

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing expert with a deep understanding of the Chinese market. Advanced Chinese copywriting skills and a working proficiency in English are essential for this role. The successful candidate must have extensive experience managing WeChat accounts, at least 5+ years of proven track record in producing and managing marketing campaigns in China, and a solid grasp of marketing technologies, preferably including HubSpot. This position will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies to drive growth and engagement in the Chinese market.

Roles & Responsibilites

  • Develop and execute demand-generation marketing campaigns and plans including WeChat, emails, Baidu SEM, SEO and press releases for core product lines, new products, seasonal programmes as per the timelines and targets.
  • Manage and liaison with agencies to drive new business growth via effective SEO / Sem campaigns.
  • Produce and manage the marketing collateral including emails, WeChat multi-media content, landing pages, sales media kits, flyers, client testimonials and many more.
  • Work closely with the sales teams and the account management teams to produce marketing campaigns that generate quality leads for our products and services.
  • Leverage freelancers and new technologies to produce and distribute thought-leadership content (Whitepaper, interviews, insights, survey reports, webinars, etc.) through multiple channels (newsletters, WeChat, etc.) and eventually grow audiences and generate sales demand.
  • Initiate and execute physical events (seminars, conferences, networking events, etc.) to engagement new prospects, current clients and channel partners.
  • Review and monitor marketing campaign performance regularly for campaign performance improvement.
  • Produce regular marketing performance reports for senior management.
  • Take on other assigned ad-hoc responsibilities.


  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, marketing, journalism, communication, literature or any other relevant field.
  • Advanced Chinese copy-writing skills are a must.
  • Working proficiency in English is a must.
  • Past experience in managing WeChat is a must.
  • 5+ years of track record in producing and managing marketing campaigns with multiple marketing tactics in China.
  • Prior hands-on experience in marketing technologies (e.g. HubSpot) is preferred.
  • Organised, accountable, ambitious, hardworking, eager to learn, result-driven and proactive.
  • Immediate availability is highly preferred.
  • The candidate with less experience will be considered for the title of Marketing Specialist.
