The Applications Engineer Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the development and innovation of cutting-edge digital solutions for our clients. You will lead a team of talented software developers to deliver high-quality software applications that meet and exceed client expectations.This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and overall passion for travel and hospitality.

What You Will Do…

  • Lead the modernization and maintenance of existing applications, ensuring they meet modern standards and align with client objectives.
  • Spearhead the development of new applications from inception to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to interpret client requirements and translate them into functional technical specifications.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks for a team of front-end and back-end developers and software engineers, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for front-end development issues, providing guidance and support to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with project management and creative teams during discovery and development phases to identify requirements, align priorities, and deliver solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Report to department leadership on project progress, team performance, and strategic goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams of software developers, with experience in task delegation, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Strong proficiency in building modern web applications from inception to deployment and production maintenance, utilizing technologies such as React, Node.js, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating frontend applications with backend systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interface with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in digital marketing and technology.
  • Experience working in a digital marketing or advertising agency environment is highly desirable.
