Position: Accounting VA

  • To Start Part-Time (with the potential to turn into a Full Time Role)
  • Salary: $5/Hour
  • Willing to work during EST Hours

Role:

As an Accounting VA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include reconciling invoices, identifying discrepancies, creating and updating expense reports, entering financial transactions into the internal databases, ensuring spreadsheet accuracy, reviewing and filing payroll documents, and actively participating in quarterly and annual audits (if needed).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile invoices and promptly identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Create, update, and manage expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Accurately enter financial transactions into our internal databases to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Review spreadsheets meticulously to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and file payroll documents accurately and timely.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining efficient accounting processes and procedures.
  • Bookkeeping

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
  • Bookkeeping experience, including familiarity with QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and familiarity with finance regulations.
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, especially in a remote work setting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with financial audits is a plus.
