ACCOUNTING MANAGER – REMOTE

Compensation: $80,000 – 120,000 annually + performance bonus

About the role:

You will manage and oversee the quality of work of a team of accountants who own their own book of business and are responsible for our clients’ success.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4-8 accountants and ensure they are completing engagements
  • Ensure accuracy and quality control of client work
  • Oversee the profitability of client engagements
  • Ability to cross-sell and upsell additional service offerings to client base
  • Responsible for training and development of team members
  • Manage team work-flow to meet client deadlines
  • Technical lead on accounting and technology issues

Requirements

  • Accounting Degree (BS/MS/MBA)
  • CPA preferred
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience
  • 3 years in a mid-sized CPA firm with experience in issuing financial statements
  • 3-5 years experience in a managerial role
  • Cloud-based accounting experience
  • Ability to prepare consolidating financial statements
  • Certified in Quickbooks Online and/or Xero
  • Experience working with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, A2X, Bill.com, and Gusto
  • Experience managing cash flow for small businesses
