Accounting & Finance Recruitment Consultant

As a fast-growing business in a fast-growing sector, we’re seeking to take on an Accounting & Finance Recruitment Consultant, to join our team. 

Job Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Screening

  • Daily sourcing of finance and admin professionals via job boards, LinkedIn, and referrals
  • Screen and interview candidates for role-specific skills (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Excel proficiency, reporting)
  • Administer and review assessments (e.g., Excel, finance software tests)

Candidate & Client Management

  • Build and manage a strong talent pool within the finance and accounting vertical
  • Coordinate and schedule client interviews, handle feedback and negotiations
  • Conduct reference and background checks

Admin & Compliance

  • Maintain candidate records in ATS (Workable), manage job boards and status tracking in Trello
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal hiring processes
  • Support onboarding and documentation coordination

Cross-Functional Support

  • Assist with roles in other business verticals (admin, tech, customer service) as required
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and talent engagement strategies

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment (agency or remote recruitment environment preferred)
  • Prior experience recruiting finance-related roles (bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and core finance functions
  • Strong sourcing skills using platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards
  • Excellent English communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised and proactive with the ability to manage multiple open roles
  • Tech-savvy with experience using Workable, Trello, and Google Workspace
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and flexible in handling changing priorities
