Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant with a background in investment deal sourcing to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a keen understanding of investment strategies, and the ability to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Monitor financial performance of investment portfolios and prepare periodic reports.
  • Investment Deal Sourcing:
    • Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research and networking.
    • Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and return on investment analysis.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and other sources of deal flow.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
    • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with investment activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support investment activities.
    • Communicate financial insights and investment opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present investment proposals and recommendations to the executive team.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on investment deal sourcing.
    • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
    • Knowledge of investment strategies, financial markets, and valuation techniques.
    • Proficient in accounting software and financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, etc.).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
