Accountant Bookkeeper
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team and support multiple clients simultaneously. In this role, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day financial transactions across a variety of accounts and industries, ensuring each client’s books are accurate, organized, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, each with unique processes and needs
- Record daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, receipts, payments)
- Maintain general ledgers and reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and follow-up
- Prepare standard financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
- Support month-end and year-end closing for all assigned clients
- Collaborate with controllers, accountants, and external stakeholders as needed
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards across clients
- Maintain clear and organized documentation for each client file
Requirements
Qualifications:
- ✅ Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally client-facing or multi-account
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficient with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, etc.
- Solid grasp of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and organized
- ️ Fluent English with strong communication skills
- Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets
- ⚡ Thrives in fast-paced, growth-focused environments
- ⏰ Available to overlap 9 AM–5 PM EST
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Works as an Independent Contractor
