Business Development Representative

Pluvo is building the future of financial planning—taking tools once reserved for the Fortune 500 and putting them in the hands of growing teams. Backed by top-tier tech investors and picking up serious momentum, Pluvo’s pipeline needs more firepower. That’s where you come in.

We’re helping them hire a Business Development Representative (BDR) who’s sharp, resourceful, and thrives in a high-trust, high-ownership environment. This isn’t an entry-level “dial till you drop” kind of role. You’ll be expected to think like a strategist and a hustler—someone who knows how to cut through the noise and start meaningful conversations with CFOs, controllers, and operators.

What You’ll Do

  • Own outbound: Run cold outreach across LinkedIn, email (including domain warm-up/rotation), and targeted calling.
  • Qualify smartly: Engage finance and ops leaders, understand their needs, and hand off warm leads to AEs.
  • Be the face: Represent Pluvo at industry events and in client meetings – confidence and polish required.
  • Use the right tools: Work in HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, and others to track activity, test strategy, and keep your system tight.
  • Talk the talk: Understand enough about financial planning to hold your own in early-stage conversations.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of outbound B2B sales experience (ideally SaaS or fintech)
  • Proven ability to book meetings across multiple channels
  • Skilled with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Nav, and outbound tools like Apollo or Clay
  • Comfortable and credible speaking with CFOs, controllers, and operations leaders
  • Strong systems hygiene—clean data, smart follow-up, organized motion
  • Based in Canada with willingness to travel for key events

Benefits

  • Impact from Day One — Your work will ship fast and make a real difference.
  • Supportive Team — Learn from experienced engineers and grow your craft.
  • Modern Tech Stack — Next.js, Node, Postgres, TypeScript, GitHub, and more.
  • Equity Ownership — Get in early and build something meaningful.
  • Flexibility — Work in-person in Ottawa or remotely within Canada.
  • Great Benefits — Health & dental, quarterly bonuses, travel coverage, home office stipend, and more.
