Accounts Payable Specialist

Where: Remote. Filipino citizens living in the Philippines

Work Hours: Depends on the client, but most want at least 2 hours of overlap with U.S. time zones

Responsibilities:

– Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.

– Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.

– Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

– Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes.

– Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and issues.

– Support the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable systems and processes.

– Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems.

– Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

– Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

– Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

– Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

– Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

– Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
