Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team Lead

DGR Systems, a growing premier technology consulting company, is looking for an Identity Team Lead to help provide leadership and management across our Identity and Access Management (IAM) offerings.

This individual will provide team leadership to architects and engineers within the IAM technology space, overseeing technical aspects and nurturing a productive and cohesive team environment that delivers high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator with an ability to simplify complex topics into clear messages and must be consultative in focus with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning to bring the best solutions to our clients. The candidate will bring technical experience, team leadership and business acumen to DGR Systems.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Foster open communication and collaboration within the team, ensuring a positive and cooperative work environment.

• Resource Allocation: Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills, and availability.

• Performance Management: Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback on performance.

• Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development within the team and support team members in their development process by providing opportunities in line with their individual development plan.

• Motivation: Foster a work environment that encourages personal initiative, collective teamwork, innovation, and high morale.

• Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates and assessing both technical and non-technical skills.

• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with sales, project management, product managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Knowledge Sharing: Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to leverage best practices and lessons learned.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality assurance processes are followed and that all work meets quality standards.

• Solution Designing: Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions that meet customer requirements and regulatory compliance.

• Policy Guidance: Define IAM policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring adherence to security best practices and organizational policies.

• Troubleshooting: Monitor and analyze IAM system performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

• Assessment: Conduct regular audits and assessments of IAM systems to ensure security controls are effective and meet audit requirements.

• Adaptability: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in IAM to enhance our IAM strategy and capabilities.

• Industry Collaboration: Manage relationships with IAM vendors and service providers, evaluating and selecting third-party solutions as needed.

• Presentation: Prepare and present reports, metrics, and recommendations to internal and external customers regarding IAM initiatives and projects.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in Identity solutions technology space, with 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, including performance management and professional development.

• Strong technical background in Microsoft IAM technologies such as Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM), Hybrid Identities.

• Strong experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory Certificate Services, Azure MFA, Entra External ID (Previously Azure AD B2C, Entra (Azure AD) B2B, Entra Hybrid Identities.

• Identity security solutions such as Entra Identity Governance, Defender for Identity, Entra (Azure AD) ID Protection, Conditional Access.

• Experience in designing and implementing Identity solutions in complex enterprise environments.

• Proven track record of managing IAM projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to IAM (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and experience in ensuring compliance.

• Certifications such as SC-100, SC-300, AZ-800, AZ-801 or relevant vendor-specific IAM certifications are a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Proven consultative mindset and experience with the ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures

• Preferred experience in staff planning, resource management, and recruiting technology talent

• Demonstrated client-focus solutions provider excelling at understanding customer needs and translating those needs to solutions

• Serves as a role model to others for translating complex and technical information

• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both technical and non-technical audiences
