Position Overview:

The Training/L&D Manager will be the single focused resource responsible for all training programs within ICAST. Their primary responsibility will be to direct the development and implementation of a formal, comprehensive training plan for all ICAST Departments based on a training needs analysis or needs assessment by functional area. The Training/L&D Manager reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the overall training and development programs within the framework of the respective department’s formal comprehensive training matrix, plan & budget with an eye towards consistent and on-going improvement. This role will also be responsible for the development and implementation of all external training programs related to grants and developing training plans & schedules for our contactors to meet grant or program requirements and goals.

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Training/ Learning Development Manager or in a similar
  • Up to date knowledge on training & development best practices and methodologies
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices such as Go1
  • Prior experience with project management & budgeting
  • Proficiency with M365 Suite of Products (Office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent communications and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
  • Ability to build rapport with employees, vendors, and external partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a current and valid professional certification such as APTD (Associate Professional in Talent Development) or CPTD

Location: Remote in the U.S.A.

Travel: Some travel may be required depending on the needs of the company

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Education: Bachelor of Science in Education, Training, Human Resources, or related field

Compensation:  $70,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the single focused resource responsible for all learning and development training programs within ICAST
  • Support and identify all future ICAST training needs, assesses current training programs, and supports the effort by creating curriculum to facilitate the training
  • Directs the development and implementation of a formal comprehensive training plan based on a training needs analysis or needs assessment by functional area
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the overall training and development programs within the framework of the individual department(s)’s formal comprehensive training matrix, plan & budget
  • Optimization of onboarding processes and internal training while fostering a culture of continuous learning within ICAST
  • Provides onboarding orientation support for new hires with on-the-job training with personal engagement that sets the tone for rapid learning and navigating the ICAST culture 
  • Provides executive management weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports/dashboards on percent of employees certified/trained, budget spend, & budget remaining  
  • Responsible for managing all external T/TA training programs related to Programs, and Grant funding including managing/tracking of training budgets
  • Responsible for managing all external training programs related to Grants and developing training plans & schedules for our contactors with the budgets provided
  • Maintains training records and facilitates recertification process when necessary
  • Keeps abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices.
