VS Code Developer to Lead Development of RTOS IDE

About us:

We are a leading technology firm specializing in RTOSs, Hypervisors, and other system level software for the military and aerospace sectors. We need to meet stringent certification requirements to help our customers build software systems that can withstand the highest requirements of reliability and security.

We want you to help us expand the tooling for our LynsOS-178 RTOS, in particular to integrate support in VS Code.

Job Description:

Lead a team developer for a VS Code integration with the LynxOS-178 RTOS, including everything from overall design to implementation. We need someone who is driven to work hard and achieve exceptional results with a flexible, potentially fully remote work environment.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience using VS Code as an IDE for code editing, building, and debugging
  • Experience with writing VS Code plugins (technical evaluation will require building a VS Code plugin)
  • Experience using GDB for debugging within the VS Code environment
  • Some experience with C and/or C++ programming so you know how to use the tools with our RTOS
  • Experience with Rust a plus
  • Experience with Java a plus (existing Eclipse IDE written in Java)
  • Located near one of Dallas, Fort Worth, Pittsburgh (PA), Atlanta (GA) areas is a plus
