Requirements

IMD has several online ventures spanning multiple industries, countries, and languages, particularly France/French. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work across a few key areas:

  • Infrastructure – you’ll look to improve deployment speed and stability wherever possible
  • Security – you’ll conduct regular configuration reviews and help with internal penetration tests to ensure security across all of the Icarus ventures
  • Engineering Environments – you’ll strive to continuously improve the quality of life for developers, automating wherever possible

On our side, we’re looking for a few key skills and traits to stand you in good stead for success in this role:

  • AWS – Experience with AWS is preferred; GCP or Azure will also be considered
  • PHP – Proficiency in PHP programming language for web development (Laravel as a bonus)
  • GIT – Skilled in using GIT for version control and collaboration
  • Docker – Familiarity with Docker for containerising applications
  • French – All of our engineering team is French, and daily work is done in French.

Nice-to-have

  • Kubernetes – Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration is a plus
  • AWS Elastic Beanstalk – Experience with Elastic Beanstalk for application deployment and management
  • GitHub – Comfortable using GitHub for code repository management
  • PagerDuty – Experience with PagerDuty or similar for incident response management would be a bonus
  • Sentry – Familiarity with Sentry or similar tools for error tracking and monitoring is advantageous
  • JavaScript – Proficient in JavaScript for front-end and/or server-side development (Next.js as a big plus)
