Key Account Manager
We seek a dynamic, results-driven experienced Key Account Manager who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to achieving exceptional sales growth. We value team players who can harmoniously collaborate within our sales organization, yet are also adept at independently managing the entirety of the sales process, from prospecting to successful conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate exceptional new business sales across biotech and pharmaceutical R&D organizations, startups, academia, and more.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to drive sales to new customers and upsell to our existing customer base.
- Understand customer needs to continuously improve overall satisfaction and ensure high renewal rates.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Support, and other departments to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Deliver results rapidly and effectively.
- Drive customers to closure, navigating organizational intricacies adeptly.
- Refine sales collateral and processes.
- Provide valuable customer and market insights to shape future products, solutions, and strategies.
- Expand the customer base by nurturing existing accounts and prospecting new ones through:
- Leveraging personal networks.
- Pursuing leads from marketing campaigns.
- Participating in product showcases.
- Capitalizing on referrals from existing customers.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Represent the company at trade and vendor events as required.
- Enhance satisfaction within designated customer accounts.
- Achieve retention targets through effective account management.
- Turn challenges into sales opportunities within each account.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- A proven track record of sales success with 5+ years in B2B Biotech and Pharmaceutical (preferably SaaS) sales leadership.
- Experience with ELN & LIMS is a plus.
- Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and customers at various locations.
- Creativity and the ability to think outside the box, driving important projects, programs, and initiatives with high energy and ingenuity.
- Integrity and adherence to ethical standards, valuing transparency and ethical conduct.
- An academic degree in life sciences is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of the ELN & LIMS space is advantageous.
- Native proficiency in English is mandatory; fluency in additional languages is beneficial.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate customer time zone needs.
