Role Summary

Renew Home is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the team in creating a clean energy future by making millions of homes more comfortable, affordable, and sustainable through smart home technology. 

The primary objective of this role is to help bring to life the future of what user engagement and residential energy will become alongside your Engineering and Product Management counterparts.

This role will report directly to the Director of Product Design.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the overall vision and decision-making for product and design direction.
  • Conduct generative product research initiatives to inform the overall roadmap.
  • Create and maintain user journeys to help align cross-functional teammates.
  • Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and design counterparts.
  • Create full service product design assets such as flows, wireframes, prototyping, user testing, and high fidelity designs.
  • Post launch, participate in quantitative data reviews and iterative ideation sessions.
  • Partner with Product and Product Designers to give and receive continuous feedback.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Product Design experience with an exceptional portfolio.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering partners to ship successful product experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to design simple solutions to complex user and technical problems.
  • Top communication skills to clearly articulate and discuss your design work.
  • Fluency in Figma and prototyping your ideas to help drive alignment.
  • Low ego, loves to collaborate, and has an open mind.
  • Experience working with hybrid or remote teams.
  • Bonuses:

    • Experience with the intersection of consumer hardware and software services.
    • Experience working at a design agency where you presented to clients.
