Launch Finance is a women-owned financial services firm dedicated to serving startups at all stages of growth across all industries with high-quality, cost-effective financial solutions. We have positions open for various levels including full-time and part time remote Accountants, Senior Consultants, Junior Accounting Managers, Accounting Managers and Senior Accounting Managers to join our growing team. This is a full-time or part-time position working as an employee of Launch Finance while providing fractional accounting and consulting services to our startup clients (think public accounting model – responsible for multiple clients).

Overview

Your responsibilities will vary depending on the size and complexity of the client. You may be responsible for accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, bill.com., expense reporting, and general ledger accounts, including deferred revenue and fixed assets. You may also work cross-functionally supporting other client groups including payroll and HR – in the startup company environment, you wear many hats!

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in journal entries and general ledger management
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, bill.com, and expense software
  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing Bill.com, AP, reconciliations, fixed assets
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • An understanding of the startup industry and its unique financial needs is a plus
  • Experience in SaaS Companies, Manufacturing, eCommerce, Fintech, Life Sciences, Biotech, Sustainability Companies or Venture Capital required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
